Joseph Alban is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Board Certified Herbalist. Joseph has a thriving practice for more than 10 years where he has helped thousands of patients.
In 2006, Joseph completed a Chinese Medicine hospital residency in Hunan, China where he trained with leading clinicians in acupuncture, Chinese medicine dermatology, and medical massage. He graduated from Touro College’s Graduate Program in Oriental Medicine, obtaining a Masters of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. In addition to clinical training in China, he has worked at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. In 2012, he received the Traditional Chinese Medicine Dermatology Diploma from world renowned expert Mazin Al-Khafaji.
Joseph is the author of many journal articles and has been featured in magazines such as Time Out New York, Acufinder Magazine, and Acupuncture Today. He is currently on the leadership team of Learn Skin, an integrative medicine skin education resource.
In addition to maintaining a busy clinical practice, Joseph teaches and writes about Chinese medicine for practitioners as well as the public. He also plays Wu Style Tai Ji and is a fermentation enthusiast.
