How do I take Chinese herbs?
The most common ways to take Chinese herbs are in a tea, pills, or tincture. The teas, often called decoctions. In this method, the herbs are boiled for 20-40 minutes to make the strong tea. Our office also uses tinctures because they are effective and easier to take than decoctions. Tinctures are alcohol extracts of the herbs. Our tinctures are first boiled like decoctions and then preserved with alcohol. Herbal pills are very good for many chronic conditions.
